The incredible Nasca Lines are still a complete mystery, people today still don't know how the Nazca civilization made these huge designs in the ground and why. The unique and best way to see these figures is from the air.
Paracas is one of the best marine reserves, with the highest concentration of marine birds on the Ballestas Islands. These spectacular islands have eroded into numerous arches and caves, which provide shelter for sea lions and thousands of seabirds, some of which are very rare. The islands are known as "the Galapagos of Peru".
Itinerary
Day 01.- Ballasts Islands - Paracas
You will be picked up from your hotel in Lima AT 5:00AM, transfer to the bus station, take a bus to Pisco ( 3 hours ), and then transfer to "El Chaco" from where you'll take a motorboat excursion to the Ballestas Islands. Lunch will be at a typical restaurant (not included), and in the afternoon you will have an excursion to Paracas for about 4 hours. Paracas is one of the best marine reserves, with the highest concentration of marine birds. At 5:00 pm you will depart to Nasca in a bus (the best one), arrive and stay in a 4* Hotel.
Day 02.- Nasca Lines
You will be picked up from your hotel, and transferred to the little airport from where you'll take your flight over the famous Nasca Lines. There are a large number of lines cut into the stony desert, not only parallels and geometrical figures, but also designs such as a dog, an enormous monkey, a bird with a wing span of over 100 meters, a spider and a tree. The lines, that may represent some sort of vast astronomical pre-Inca calendar, are best seen from the air. We will take a half hour flight above the Lines (AIRFARE INCLUDED) and then you'll visit the Chauchilla cemetery, where skulls, mummies and pottery shards litter the desert. At 1:30 pm you'll take the motor coach Royal class to Lima where you'll arrive around 9:00 PM. End of our services.
