Punta Arenas, the capital city, is located on the eastern shore of the Brunswick peninsula, next to the border of the Strait of Magellan, which joins the two largest oceans in the world. Punta Arenas is the capital of the Province of Magallanes and was founded by Mr. José Santos Mardones on December 18th, 1848. Upon arrival in Punta Arenas there will be a large reception followed by your transfer, by regular service, to Puerto Natales. Puerto Natales is the capital of the Province of Ultima Esperanza. The city was founded in 1911 on a gently sloping area on the inlet of Ultima Esperanza. The park is located 150 kilometers from Puerto Natales. There are many hiking paths that cross widely differing types of terrain, such as pampas and thick Magellanic forests, and run along lakes with huge glaciers and icebergs. The park is surrounded by huge, craggy mountains, including the famous Cuernos del Paine (Paine Horns). Overnight in Torres del Paine. (B, L, D).
