Day 1: Cusco - Huallpachaca
At 9:00 AM we head out of Cusco and travel to the Huallpachaca Bridge (at an altitude of 2000 masl), about 4 hours south east from Cusco. After lunch our guide will give us some necessary safety instructions followed by a demonstration of the equipment. You will also be given a basic Rescue Course for this kind of river. Day 2: Cusco - Apurimac
After a healthy breakfast we pack up camp and head off to begin rafting down Class III and IV rapids, stopping only for lunch. We may also walk (portage) some Class VI Rapids which are too dangerous to run. After the day of rafting we will set up the tents and rest for the evening.
Day 3: Apurimac River - Cusco
